Rebecca Shenton
Rebecca studied law at Manchester Metropolitan University and completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC), having studied part time whilst working in the profession, at the University in 2008.
She completed her training contract in Manchester and qualified as a solicitor in 2012.
She has been a Member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme since 2018. Rebecca also previously held the role of Chair of the Board of Trustees for Behind Closed Doors, which is a leading domestic abuse organisation in West Yorkshire.
Outside of work, she enjoys walking in the Dales and Reiki sound baths, which she recommends as a great way to reduce stress. She also loves playing, listening and dancing to Soul, House and Funk music.
Rebecca works in our Care department and deals with cases across both Calderdale and Kirklees, mainly representing children, through their CAFCASS children’s guardian or directly. Rebecca also continues to assist and represent parents, family members and prospective carers throughout care proceedings and social care involvement. She is based at our offices in Halifax.
