Lashana Henderson
Can you tell me about your career journey?
I started my career in 2006 as a junior secretary at Chadwick Lawrence in the Conveyancing Department. Due to the property crash, I moved to the Corporate and Commercial Department as a secretary.
After a few years, I decided to enrol on the Chartered Legal Executive course (CILEX) at Leeds City College. This was a part time course over 4 years.
I rejoined the Conveyancing Department in 2013 as a Conveyancing Assistant. I then progressed to Trainee Conveyancer and on to a Conveyancer.
In 2023 I became a Team Leader in the Conveyancing Department, initially managing a team of 4 which then grew to 15.
In 2024 I became an Associate.
Having taken time out to focus on raising my son, I decided to finailise my studies and I qualified in February 2025 as a CILEX Conveyancing Practitioner.
