Penny Manock hits 30 year landmark at Wilkinson Woodward

Our Head of Family Law Penny Manock is celebrating after clocking up thirty years of service at Wilkinson Woodward.

After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University, Halifax-born Penny joined us in 1986 as an articled clerk, choosing to specialise in matrimonial work after qualifying as a solicitor in 1988.

In the early nineties Penny became a partner and she has gone on to establish Wilkinson Woodward as the largest family law team in Calderdale.

In 1996 Penny qualified as mediator, enabling Wilkinson Woodward to become the first legal practice in Calderdale to offer a mediation service.  She has since qualified to provide direct consultation with children as part of the mediation process. Penny is also a trained collaborative solicitor and a member of Calderdale and Kirklees Collaborative Family Law Group.

Our Managing Director Maureen Cawthorn commented,

“Penny’s reputation as a highly skilled family lawyer and mediator are well deserved. Under her leadership, our family law team continues to develop in size, expertise and capability. We’re delighted to be marking her thirtieth year at Wilkinson Woodward.”

Outside work, Penny is a confirmed foodie and a keen rugby fan. She is married with two children and lives in Cullingworth on the outskirts of Bradford.
