Meet Residential Conveyancer Jade Martin
Based at our Huddersfield office, Jade is part of our Residential Conveyancing team, supporting clients through every stage of the conveyancing process. We caught up with her to hear more about how she got started in law, what brought her to Wilkinson Woodward, and what keeps her busy outside of work.
Q: Tell us about your role.
I work in residential conveyancing, dealing with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. I manage transactions from start to finish and act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the process.
Q: Tell us about your career journey.
I started working in a law firm in 2019 as a receptionist and quickly realised I loved the legal side of things. After about a year, I moved into post completions, submitting applications to the Land Registry, which gave me my first real insight into conveyancing. From there, I became a conveyancing assistant, supporting both clients and fee earners throughout the process, before eventually progressing into a fee earner role and managing my own files.
Q: What attracted you to Wilkinson Woodward?
I had worked alongside Wilkinson Woodward on transactions while at another firm and always liked their work ethic and the way they worked. The role also gave me the opportunity to manage my own conveyancing files while having the professional support I was looking for.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my two children, whether that’s days out together or playing football with my son. I also enjoy going to the gym and getting out on long walks when I can.
Jade is a valued member of the team, and we look forward to supporting her continued professional development.
