Dawn Keane gains resolution accreditation in family law

Wilkinson Woodward is delighted to announce that our colleague, Dawn Keane, has become a Resolution Accredited Family Law Solicitor.

Resolution is a highly respected organisation whose members are committed to a code of practice that seeks to resolve family issues constructively. They follow a non-confrontational approach to family law that considers the needs of the whole family in order to deliver much better outcomes for families and children following separation.

Demonstrating excellence

The Specialist Accreditation achieved by Dawn is only awarded to solicitors who can demonstrate excellence in their knowledge of law, procedure and practice. During her assessment, Dawn had to pass two challenging assignments that appraised her skills, proficiency and experience in specialist areas of family law.

As a member of Resolution, Dawn also has access to professional development and training resources, as well as local networks where professionals share best practices and offer peer support.

Dawn’s accreditation comes as no surprise, given that her dedication to helping others stretches back to the beginning of her career. She worked as a social care support, whilst also embarking on her journey to become a solicitor, studying for her LLB degree at BPP University, Manchester. Following this, Dawn worked within the legal services team at South Yorkshire NHS Trust and the legal services department at Bradford Council, whilst completing her master’s degree at Leeds Beckett University.

After four years at a local family law practice, she spent two years as a trainee Solicitor before becoming qualified. Dawn joined Wilkinson Woodward in January 2021 as a Family Law Solicitor.

In her free time, Dawn enjoys spending time with friends and family, including going on local walks around Huddersfield. Dawn enjoys going on holiday, including to exotic locations like Zanzibar, where she went on safari, and the Caribbean.

Help, support and understanding

Like Dawn, all our Family Law Solicitors are committed to promoting a non-confrontational approach to resolving family law issues. Experience has shown that by encouraging constructive dialogue, especially when cases involve children, issues can be resolved quickly, cost-effectively and amicably.

If you are experiencing family problems, our Family Law team is happy to provide the understanding, support and practical help you need.
