Why we are supporting Family Mediation Week 2021
18-22 January 2021 is Family Mediation Week. Organised by the Family Mediators Association (FMA), the campaign aims to raise awareness of mediation as an alternative to court battles for separating couples.
Mediation can help you take control of your family’s future, making decisions together instead of asking someone else to decide what should happen to your children or your finances.
We’re here to help people at the point of separation but we also want to help spread the word that family mediation is an option people can suggest to friends or family members who are experiencing separation and don’t know where to go for help.
How could a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM) help me?
Written by family mediators Angela Lake-Carroll and Alexis Walker, this article outlines how a MIAM could help you.
