Why it's so important to talk about dying

This month's Dying Matters Awareness Week (13-19 May) aims to highlight the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement.

Organised by The Dying Matters Coalition, the annual campaign is designed to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life.

The Dying Matters campaign encourages a fundamental change in society in which dying, death and bereavement become accepted as a natural part of everyone’s life cycle, enabling us all to cope better with issues surrounding death.
