Richard qualified as a Solicitor in 1989, since when he has largely specialised in criminal defence work.
Richard regularly attends Police stations to advise and represent individuals who have been arrested. He spends much of his time advising and representing people required to appear in court to face criminal charges. Some years ago Richard obtained his “Higher Rights”, enabling him to represent individuals who have to appear in the Higher Courts, particularly the Crown Court.
Outside work, Richards’s interests include running and reading.
