Rachel Hunt

Trainee Solicitor

Rachel began her legal career with us in 2014 on a part time work experience placement, whilst still studying at the University of Huddersfield.

After achieving a first class honours degree in Law and completing her Master of Law and Practice Course, Rachel began working as a legal assistant at our Brighouse office where she supported our Wills and Probate team. Rachel then moved to our Halifax office where she worked on a wide range of Personal Injury matters.

In April 2018 we were delighted to offer Rachel a training contract and, over the next 18 months, she will gain valuable experience in all departments. Rachel is due to qualify as a solicitor in October 2019.

In January 2019 Rachel joined the Student Mentoring Team at the University of Huddersfield. The team is made up of former law students now working in the legal profession. The team mentor the University's current undergraduates on a voluntary basis. As a mentor, Rachel provides practical support to students, including help with their CVs and applications for legal training contracts.

Rachel has lived in Brighouse all her life and knows the area well. Outside work, she’s a keen traveller and also enjoys socialising with friends and family.

After a spell working in the Property team, Rachel is currently gaining experience within our Wills and Probate department. She is based at our Halifax office.
