Kim studied at Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Law School in Leeds and holds the following qualifications: Law Degree, Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws.
Kim began her career in care proceedings at Wakefield Council before qualifying as a Solicitor-Advocate in October 2019.
As a Trainee Solicitor, Kim completed and passed the Higher Rights of Audience (Civil Proceedings) assessment, enabling her to represent individuals in the Higher Courts, particularly the Court of Appeal
Kim is a familiar face in Courts in Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Bradford, providing representation in cases where the local authority is involved in family life, including care proceedings and adoption.
Kim’s trademark passion for her work stems from a strong sense of fairness and a personal drive to represent individuals who might not otherwise have a voice.
Outside work Kim lives in Barnsley with her partner and their three-year-old rescue German Shepherd Border Collie Cross, Mambo. Kim’s a passionate fan of ice-hockey, particularly the Boston Bruins, and can often be found in the small hours glued to live TV coverage of international fixtures. Kim is also an ardent foodie with a particular love for tapas and enjoys travelling as well as a love of music.
