Diane began her adult life as a chef and spent five years working at Mulgrave Castle near Whitby, seat of the Marquis of Normanaby.
Always up for a challenge, Diane switched careers in the mid-nineties while her children were young. In 1996 she began her studies with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX). Later the same year she was recognised as ‘Adult Learner of the Year’ by Calderdale College.
Diane specialises in residential conveyancing and, over the past 22 years, she has helped thousands of people in Halifax to buy and sell homes. One of many rewarding aspects about Diane’s career is that, after two decades in property, she now handles conveyancing for first time buyers whose parents were her clients back in the 1990s.
Diane is well known for resolving complex property cases and, not surprisingly, most of her work comes from referrals from estate agents, mortgage brokers and house builders. Diane also has extensive experience of dealing with equity release transactions.
Diane is a firm believer in good old-fashioned personal service and likes to meet all her clients face to face. Her right-hand woman (legal secretary) is Maggie Youngs and together they provide a seamless, end-to-end service for buyers and sellers alike.
With two rugby-playing sons Diane has devoted much of her free time to supporting Halifax RLFC and the sport has played a big part in her life. Diane is Halifax born and bred; she lives locally with her husband, Danny.
Diane joined us in January 2019 and is based at our Halifax office.
