Changes to Legal Arrangements for Children Start 22 April 2014

Couples considering divorce need to be aware of changes to private children law which come into force in England and Wales later this month.

From 22 April, unless specific exemption criteria applies, courts will no longer accept applications to issue children act proceedings until applicants have attended a Mediation Information Assessment Meeting (MIAM).
