Farewell to Gillian Leonard who retires this month

This month we bid a fond farewell to one of our most experienced solicitors, Gillian Leonard, who is retiring after more than three decades of service to the local community.

Gillian began her legal career in 1981 as an articled clerk (trainee solicitor) and qualified as a solicitor in 1983. Gill worked at Gordon’s solicitors for a whopping 29 years before joining Wilkinson Woodward in 2012. For the past 34 years, she has specialised in wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, inheritance tax planning, powers of attorney and Court of Protection work.

Over a long and successful career, Gillian has developed many long-standing professional relationships with clients and colleagues and she’ll be sorely missed by many. In future, Gillian's ongoing matters wil be allocated to her colleagues in the Probate team.

Gillian tells us that her initial retirement plans include a visit to her brother in the States and an extended holiday to Australia and New Zealand, before settling down to a voluntary charitable role and a new life as a “professional potterer”!

We wish Gillian a long and happy retirement.
