Changes to right to request flexible working

The Children and Families Act 2014 contains provisions to extend the right to request flexible working to all employees with at least 26 weeks' continuous service. These are due to come into force on 30 June 2014.

The new duty will require employers to deal with requests in a reasonable manner within a three-month decision period, which will be supported by an Acas statutory Code of Practice. For expert help with all your employment law needs, contact Jon Dyson at our Halifax office on 01422 339 600.
